This week I read some of the Tree House kids' poems called "Where I'm From" and decided to try one of my own :)

Where I'm From

I'm from doors never locked, except when we're on vacation.

I'm from "cricks," not "creeks."

I'm from Bruce Springsteen on the record player Sunday morning.

I'm from cat hair on everything,

From "Family comes first," "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger," and "Wherever you go, there you are."

I'm from Coors Light on the railroad tracks,

From Hamburger Helper, hard work, and country music.

I'm from good people doing the best they can

And loving, unconditionally.
